- Matthews signs an arrangement for the acquisition of the share majority in the Saueressig group

Matthews International Corporation signed an agreement on Monday, February 25, 2008 for the purchase of 78% of the shares of the SAUERESSIG GmbH & Co KG . The transaction is still under audit by the cartel authorities. Mr. Kilian Saueressig will remain a shareholder of SAUERESSIG GmbH & Co KG with 22%. He will also continue to serve in his position as the chairman of the board.

Reproflex Vietnam Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City is our spearhead in the packaging market for Asia. During an opening ceremony on March 17, 2007 we were able to greet numerous guests from 10 nations and the Danish ambassador in Vietnam, Mr. Peter Lysholdt Hansen. Mr. Christian Hvass, a longtime employee of our subsidiary in Denmark, will be the managing director in Vietnam. We wish him a lot of success!
